Why Age Better Resources Became Senior Advocare

Senior Advocare began as Age Better Resources, founded by Kathy Clinton after more than 20 years of working closely with older adults and their families. Over that time, three core needs became clear:

  1. Unbiased education about the many options for senior living, care, services, and how to pay for them

  2. Personalized support to help families navigate the maze of decisions with clarity and confidence

  3. Empowerment through education, so aging adults and their families can move forward informed, not overwhelmed

To meet those needs, Kathy launched Age Better Resources as a trusted place to turn for clarity, compassion, and connection.

As her work deepened, so did the mission. The growing demand for true advocacy—and for strategic partnerships with vetted providers—led to a powerful evolution of the brand.

Today, under the name Senior Advocare, that mission continues:
To guide families through the aging journey with trusted recommendations, personalized support, and compassionate advocacy—always with the goal of helping older adults live their best possible life.

We proudly refer to professionals and services we’ve vetted, experienced firsthand, and would trust with our own loved ones. We work to support older adults in Colorado Springs and the surrounding area in person, and Colorado and beyond virtually. If you aren’t sure what you need or where to start, get in touch for a complementary consultation.

Kathy’s connection to elder care began early—working as a nurse’s aide in both nursing homes and private homes as a teenager. Even then, she understood that aging isn’t just medical or logistical—it’s emotional, relational, and deeply personal. Whether her clients could chat for hours or no longer speak at all, Kathy believed in creating moments of comfort and connection, for both seniors and their families.

After a career in education and publishing, she returned to the senior care field in the early 2000s. Since then, she’s worked across nearly every corner of the space—from senior living communities to home care leadership to private consulting. Along the way, she’s earned certifications in Dementia Care, Senior Advising, and Assisted Living Administration in Colorado.

Kathy’s approach blends compassion with deep, practical knowledge. Having guided thousands of families through complex decisions, and walked her own personal road with aging loved ones, she knows how tough this can be. That’s why she created Senior Advocare—to offer the kind of steady, thoughtful guidance she once wished for herself.

Her mission is simple: to help you and your loved ones navigate the aging journey with more clarity, more confidence, and more good days ahead.
